Where do you source your tallow from?

Our tallow is from small, sustainable farms in Wisconsin and the surrounding areas. The cows are grass-fed and grass-finished.

How is the tallow rendered?

A traditional, dry method that uses low and slow heat. It is a gentle process that melts the fat from connective tissue.

What type of tallow do you use?

We use only suet, which is rendered from around the kidneys. It has a smoother, creamier texture and absorbs better than fat from other areas. It is also more nutrient dense and has a higher concentration of beneficial fatty acids and vitamins than other fats.

Can I use the tallow balm on my face?

Yes! You absolutely can. It has a soothing and deeply moisturizing effects.
